So much new stuff!

So much awesome a new stuff to talk about here at EFS! We're talking with a lot of big names in the industry to bring more awesome videos to you. We recently released our video for the Vertigo Studios P-36 Hawk for FSX. It is an amazing aircraft to fly with an awesome model, great repaints, and a small frame hit. We're also working a personal project abbreviated L.T.A., it stands for a naval term and we're going to say more when we release our next video for it. It will contain some awesome shots from FSX and Armed Assault 2 with amazing editing. Check out our original teaser video for it here. And finally, we're also sponsoring a great website design group called Snaju, they have some serious skill and a fun attitude. Part of that fun attitude is their server for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, a lot of the EFS team enjoys/loves/idiolizes that game (When we're not working on videos!) so we're producing a trailer for it to get some more people to check out their website and their server. We've completed a short test video in their server while we piece together the rest of our shots, check it out here.

Just Flight Airshow Pilot for FSX

The official EFS Films production for Just Flight's Airshow Pilot interactive addon for FSX has been completed and we are preparing to release a 1080p version of it today! Here's some more information from the Just Flight website,

How accurate is your flying? Can you keep headings, altitudes and fly near-perfect maneuvers? Now’s your perfect chance to prove you are the best! Airshow Pilot is all about accurate, precision flying at air shows, whether in an aerobatic Extra, a passenger airliner or a Hawk fast jet trainer - in fact you can fly any aircraft that you have installed in FSX!
Whether you want to perform Loops, Cuban Eights, Rolls and Immelmanns in a dedicated aerobatic aircraft like the Extra, fly a fast and low display pass along the crowd line in an huge Airbus or perform in an Arrow or Diamond formation in a Hawk trainer, Airshow Pilot is guaranteed to give you a whole new perspective on aircraft handling. (The Hawk utilities the Learjet instrument panel.)
Learn via the in-built training feature, practice and then test your flying skills against AI competitors on your PC or compete online with real Airshow Pilot competitors who will be flying in the same events as you throughout the year. Refine your flying skills during a full calendar of events. Exclusive tracking software records your flights for you to review and will evaluate and rate your skills. You are also able to download other competitors' flights and play them back to see how your opponents are shaping up!
Competition results are ranked throughout a season and every pilot will receive a world ranking - trophies are reserved for only the best pilots in each category!
During competitions the airfield will be filled with air show crowds - people, tents, booths, cars, display aircraft and much more. You can even hear the crowd noise! Airshow Pilot also includes the tools for you to design air show aerobatic events, flight programs and even airport populations!

Just Flight and Fly Wonderful Islands

After quite awhile of working on these videos EFS Films is about to complete our video for the Just Flight Airshow Pilot package. This excellent addon for Flight Simulator X includes formation models of the famous Royal Air Force Red Arrows Demonstration Squadron and a program which allows you to accurately practice aerobatic maneuveres. It also allows you to place scenery and you can use almost any aircraft in your Flight Simulator from the Extra 300 to the DC-3. Our production for the Just Flight/Commercial Level Simulations 767 addon will be released in the coming weeks and it will be another outstanding production from our producer Lyristria.  Also to come very soon (Maybe even today!) will be our Fly Wonderful Islands Dublin scenery video. Fly Wonderful Islands is an excellent photoreal scenery company that also released their beautiful Canary Islands scenery with a video by EFS Films as well that was made by our team member LH1293. Check it out by clicking here. Thanks for visiting our blog and enjoy the video!

LiteSpeed Productions

EFS Films is proud to partner with LiteSpeed Productions for our future projects! LiteSpeed's former channel, RichieSpeedIsBack, has made him one of the premier video producers for Armed Assault 2 (ArmA 2) by Bohemia Interactive. ArmA and ArmA 2 are highly detailed and realistic first person shooters that have capabilities including easy mission creators, single player missions, and dozens of online multiplayer scenarios. He is a genius with Adobe After Effects and he has made unbelievably realistic videos such as this video below called "Welcome to ArmA 2", click on the link or click on the YouTube window below.

What's coming soon?

The most common question for any video group is always either "What's coming next?" or a YouTube comment that says "OMG! how do u do tht?" The second question is a little bit harder to explain since I don't do the video editing, but I will answer that first question here. In the next few weeks we will be releasing videos for many exciting addons including:

Vertigo Studios SDB-1 Dauntless Dive Bomber
Includes more than 10 photoreal repaints, a high detail model, and a fully functional 3D virtual cockpit.
Just Flight CLS 767
Commercial Level Simulations has brought their famous detail into the Boeing 767. Available now through Just Flight.
Just Flight Airshow Pilot
This exciting addon lets you make your own scenery and do awesome aerobatic maneuveres just like the pros!
These videos, and more, are coming soon to our YouTube channel! Click here to check it out!

Pictures from Picasa

Check out the new pictures on the top right of this page! All of these were taken by either myself or our chief producer Timi Makinde. The pictures look awesome and a lot of them would take me hours in Photoshop, and still not turn out very well, but instead we used Google's new Picasa program to edit the pictures in just a few minutes then directly upload them to the Picasa page of the EFS Films Team. To look at a full size picture from the slideshow on the side of the page click on the picture.

New Blog Features!

I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out literally hundreds of different Blogspot "Gadgets" as they call them. I finally have found some that 1. Actually work, 2. Have some type of practical use, and 3. Work consistently. At the top right we now have a slideshow from pictures from the EFS Films Picasa album, it contains pictures from several partners and even from some of our clients. Below that is a YouTube gadget that will link you to some of our YouTube videos, from time to time it will show the most featured videos instead, but for the most part it works (That was the one that almost didn't pass the number three requirement). And finally, below all of that we have links to the EFS Films website and YouTube channel as well as all of our clients. We also included two upcoming clients there, Silverjet Virtual Airlines and Eagle Simulations for a freeware mod they are releasing called the B-1X Surge as an addon to the Alphasim B-1B Lancer. I hope you like the new features and that you enjoy the upcoming videos!

The Quest Kodiak by Lionheart Creations

Quite awhile ago we made a film for Lionheart Creations for their Quest Kodiak. This video was taken down from YouTube because a claim on one of the gauges from an outside company. Lionheart Creations remade the gauge from scratch and so now we are able to repost our video! Here it is! Enjoy!

Top Ten of the Decade!

It is time to say goodbye not only to 2009, but also to the last decade. Over the past ten years a lot has happened. Here in the United States we have been through both tragedy and victory. So much has happened that will never be forgotten. Here we have listed what the EFS Films team feels were the biggest and most unforgettable events of the last decade. Click on the event to read the Wikipedia or news article.

And of course since we are a Flight Simulator addon company, it is important for us to recognize the top 10 events in Flight Simulation over the last decade.

9. The Cessna154 YouTube channel becomes the largest channel devoted to Flight Simulator with more than 11,500 subscribers to date.

10. And since we need to continue to keep #10 as an epic fail, we have chosen the Lionheart Creations Kodiak as the FS epic fail of the decade. After this amazing aircraft was released another company made a claim to a part of their 2D panel and every single video was taken down from YouTube. Videos by both EFS Films and Jaggyroad Films that had tons of hours of work were taken down from YouTube without any real reason. There is no link for this since the product and all videos were taken offline. I think though that most people can see where that is ridiculous.

I hope you liked these and if you have any other ideas email me at john@efsfilms.com. If you have any other ideas for the top ten events from 1999-2009 post them in the comments below. Happy New Year!
